I began to think about things, which I could add to my paint pot box design to make it easier to pour, what if there was a spout, could it be attached and removed when needed. This could prevent the lid being removed, which would stop the common difficulty of removing the lit, as the paint could just be poured though a spout.

I consider a design where a cap would be removed and replaced with a spout, this would then make to spout easy to clean, which would keep it working, rather than it getting stuck or clogged with paint.

I decided not to continue with this idea as I think it would just require extra materials to make, which I wanted to avoid. I decided to instead focus on a lit, which would be easy to open, possible using hinges or clips.
