Kyoto Protocol

Another way the UK government is trying to reduce there emissions is having been signed up to the Kyoto Protocol since 1995. The names comes from the city Kyoto which is in Japan as that is where the idea was negotiated and drawn up

Kyoto Protocol -

This is a international agreement linked to the UN, which commits the counties which have joined to reduce emission targets internationally. This allows developed industrial cites to reduces there emissions using specific targets set to each indivual country. This legally binding agreement will allow other counties to raise there emissions while other reduce.
