Oil

“A Crude Awakening” this is a 2006 documentary on the limited oil resources. 

This video had some interesting and shocking contents that brought the reality of the oil shortage, and how many things we used oil for to my attention. These quotes from the film that particular brought the issue to my attention –

- Oil is the blood of the earth economy 

- Oil is our god 

- Every calorie you eat is 10 in carbon

- Oil is a magnet for war – starts was, prolongs, intensify

Watching this video made me think that it is designed to scare, I was also confused as the oil shortage has seen to be ignored. Will we need to reach rock bottom before something is done about it? Are we relying and hoping it wont happen instead of being prepared? Do people only care about what they have now, not what may happen in the future.
